With open hearts, we welcome you into a sacred space rooted in the living wisdom of the Indigenous Maya.
This is an invitation to enter a state of prayer, presence, and true community. Together, we will sit with Mama Cacao, the Sacred Fire, our Ancestors, and the vibrant spirit carried through the Maya ceremonial path.
The Maya are a millennial people whose traditions have endured through generations not just as history, but as an act of love, continuity, and cultural resistance. At the heart of our way of life is a profound relationship with the elements, the cosmos, and the sacred cycles that shape both our ceremonies and our daily breath.
The Wisdom of the Lineage
The ceremony we share arises from the depth of the Maya worldview: the sacred science of the Maya Calendars, the path of the Cholq’ij, the guidance of the 20 Mayan Nawales, and the ancient tradition of Abuelo Fuego (Grandfather Fire).
This is an opportunity for the community in Norway to touch the deep roots of the Cacao Ceremony of the Mayan Guardians. Within this circle, we will connect with the authentic energy of the Ancestors, the vibration of the 7 colors of Mayan candles, and the pure essence of the elements. We invite you to hear the true voice of the Guardians and the Native land through the medicine of the fire and the spirit of Mama Cacao.
A Living Tradition
In our world, Cacao is never separate from life or prayer. It is a living tradition where every step from the soil to the cup is an act of devotion and ancestral care.
This ceremony will be held by Maura Sacach, an Spiritual Guide within the Maya tradition and co-founder of Maya Moon Cacao. Maura’s life is devoted to honoring the roots of her homeland, Guatemala. Alongside her sister and the women of their workshop, she has built Maya Moon Cacao as a path of cultural dignity, supporting women artisans and farming families while protecting the spiritual integrity of the medicine.
This is a chance to experience the truth behind the spirit of IXCACAO to understand the mission, the land, and the people who stand at the heart of this Living Medicine Lineage.
What to Bring
To support your comfort during the ceremony, please bring:
• A yoga mat or comfortable floor mat
• A pillow or cushion for sitting
• A water bottle
Cups for the ceremonial cacao will be provided.
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and bringing anything that helps you feel warm and at ease during the gathering.
