Everything You Need to Burn Sacred Copal & Open Ceremony

One complete kit. No research required. No missing pieces. Just light, breathe, and set your intention.

Copal smoke is the bridge between worlds. This kit arrives ready to light with every element sourced directly from Guatemala, no middlemen. Direct from the farmers who grow it, the artisan who shapes it, to your hands.

  • 2 oz Rax Pom resin from Cahabón lasts ~15 ceremonies
  • Handmade clay copalera by Rosa hand-thrown and kiln-fired
  • 10 natural charcoal tablets each burns 10-15 minutes
  • Artisanal hemp cord for breaking resin and hanging your burner

What You Get

Rax Pom Resin (2 oz)

This is the actual resin that emerges from Protium copal trees during specific seasons. It's a tear the tree releases when conditions align. The farmers in Cahabón harvest only what the tree gives freely no extraction, no harm to the source. About 15 ceremonies per kit. Each ceremony uses 2–3 grams.

Handmade Clay Copalera

Rosa, our Guatemalan artisan, hand-throws each burner from clay and fires it in a traditional kiln. Every copalera is slightly different because it's made by human hands. It's designed to hold glowing charcoal and let the copal smoke rise as an offering.

Natural Charcoal Tablets (10)

Self-igniting charcoal. Light one edge, wait 30 seconds, and it glows steady. Each tablet burns 10-15 minutes enough time for a full ceremony.

Artisanal Hemp Cord

Handwoven natural fibers included for breaking your resin into smaller pieces and hanging your copalera from a hook, branch, or altar.

How to Burn It

Step 1: Hold a charcoal tablet with tongs. Light one edge until it glows. Wait 30 seconds.

Step 2: Place the glowing tablet in the center of your copalera.

Step 3: Sprinkle 2–3 grams of resin onto the charcoal. Watch the smoke rise.

Step 4: Breathe. Set your intention. Let it unfold naturally.

Questions You Might Have

How many ceremonies will this last?

About 15 at 2–3 grams per ceremony. If you burn weekly, your kit lasts 3-4 months. If you burn daily, it lasts 2-3 weeks.

Is this real copal or synthetic?

100% authentic Rax Pom nothing added, nothing taken away. You'll see it change color slightly with humidity. That's normal. Real resin, real tree, real energy.

I've never burned copal before. Will I mess it up?

No. The printed card walks you through every step. Light charcoal. Place it in the burner. Add resin. There's no "right" or "wrong" way. Your intention is what matters.

Why does this kit cost more than others?

Because Rosa's copalera is handmade by one person, not mass-produced. Because your Rax Pom comes directly from farmers, with money going straight to their hands. Because you're buying dignity, not just product.

Do I need special tools?

Just tongs or tweezers to hold the charcoal while lighting it. The hemp cord is included.

Is this for beginners?

Yes. If you've done cacao ceremony or meditation, this deepens it. If you're brand new to ritual, this is the perfect entry point.
